Who is going to the California Season opener at Sonoma?

Postby Mike Plum » Thu Feb 28, 2013 8:50 am

I have talked to Derek and he has signed up. Adam on the other hand can't make it. Personally I'm on the fence and will go if we can get a handful of cars.

I am close to having the car back together, we're not quite there yet but I'm shooting for it.

Looks like I'm going to make it, still have to change the ring and pinion, but should be done this weekend.

It will be good to see you back on the track Don.

Aaron, do you know of a dyno near Atwater?

Thx

My dyno guy is in Fresno, knows his way around the Holley pretty well. Don't know of one in Atwater or Merced.

Derek, sign me up for a garage.

Just a heads up, MCE Racing will have their portable DynoJet at Sonoma March 16th & 17th. If you haven't done so thus far, this is a good opportunity to get your annual certification run done. Call Kevin at 530-934-3237.

Do you know anyone around that can do the annual inspection? We got the car running/driving this weekend. Didn't quite get to everything on the wishlist, but should be on the dyno this week and I will sign up shortly after that provided the motor gets a clean bill of health.

CMC Numbers in NorCal

Postby SDRacing » Mon Apr 15, 2013 7:19 am

Hi all:

I'm looking to purchase a CMC car, but I'm concerned that the CMC maybe a dwindling class. About 5 years ago I purchased Sparklin's Fox Body, but had to sell due to a new baby, so, I never got to race. Now, things are calming down and I am looking to try again to enter CMC.

I'm assuming they combined NorCal and SoCal because numbers are light, but again I do not know.

How many CMC cars ended up running at Sonoma? Also, is turnout for the season going to be better, equal, worse than Sonoma?

Thanks

Derek thanks for taking the time, very much appreciated. I've decided to buy Bua's Mustang. I hope/plan to make it to the next race weekend.
