Non compliance of "appearance" related items

Postby BADVENM » Mon Sep 09, 2013 8:03 am

This could be at a regional or just at a National championship event. Instead of totally disregarding "appearance" related items that are not on the car and should be (glove box door cover as an example), how about imposing a fine of some amount ($100 or something that is stiff enough to get the racers to read the rulebook and ensure there car is legal throughout. I'm sure a racer would prefer paying a stiff fine versus being DQ'd (like is currently stated in the rules).

Just a thought.

I would rather DQ folks. I don't want some guy writing blank checks each event and buying wins.

Arron was told about the glovebox issue locally. I'm almost 100% sure because I'm a stickler for that very rule. This should not have been a shock to him. I will address this w/ him at the next event.

How many times do I have to say it. Mine is covered up! And it was covered before the big race!

On a LT or LS car can we use an aftermarket steering pump like a KRC?

7.25.6 LT1 and LS1 powered GM cars may use modified OEM power steering pumps to lower power
steering temperatures.
Our excellent online 1Y0-350 braindump exam. We also offer latest EXIN good luck.

The short answer is "no".

However, in the future you can start by asking your CMC regional director these questions first. Or, you could at least post this as a new query instead of attaching it to an old thread pertaining to "appearance" items. I wouldn't really consider a power steering pump to be an appearance item.

Aftermarket is different than modified OEM. Can't use and aftermarket KRC.
