Paint? Come on, it's 50/50 rule. If someone with 50% of their sight left still thinks it looks like a car from 50 yards, you're good. Right?

Car looks great.

Do those Schroth lap belt anchors swivel? If no, you'll want to orient them in the direction of belt tension when you're cinching down the lap belts. You don't want to come up with extra room in a hard impact due to the anchors rotating.

No need for even expensive parts. My AI engine is a 2-bolt main, stock cast crank, Eagle I-beam rods (cheaper than getting stock rods resized + ARP bolts), and hypereutectic cast pistons. It's seen 7600RPM according to the tell tale. Does it make sense to spin a CMC engine like that? No. Like I've s...

Thanks TJ, that is what I was guessing. We had a Ford racer switch over to a carb recently and I think I remember him stating it was about 25 lbs lighter. I'm still not quite sure what that 45 lb disadvantage is Bryan was talking about. If it is iron heads then we can put the 302's in the same camp...

Are you saying running a carb is heavier than running FI? With iron boat anchors, absolutely. I guess it's different for the 302 Ford camp, because the 3rd gen stock FI is such an effort in pissing into the wind for 260/310 that we don't even think about it. In my mind, the 3 options are carb small...

I've been biting my tongue on this since I've yet to get the car together, but I really agree with Pete's post. Every chassis has a handicap in one way or another. Has anyone even looked at dyno sheets to see if this is a possible red herring before we go Dianne Feinstein on this? I can understand t...

The carbed 350 in a 4th gen has pretty serious fitment issues under a stock hood. THe hood isn't the worst part. You end up having to do a cowl/wiper bucket-ectomy to get the air cleaner and distributor in there. As someone who's seen Robert's car in person with the swap, it's a clean looking...

Does it have external linkage? If so, 4 speed for sure.

Super T10s are common in SCCA ASedan cars, which is what CMC loosely evolved from.

Been watching this one pop up every now and again. Cage is sketchy at best looking at back stay mounting/weld in tube, forward down tube to main hoop junction, no dash bar, etc. He got taken if he paid $2500 for it.

Any chance you'll be honoring the contingency coupons from a couple years ago when there was no product available to buy for the entire season the contingency was valid?

I still have a beef with the way this rule is written, I'll probably submit an RCR when the time comes. The L33 is an aluminum block engine with LS6 heads that only came in 05-06 trucks. If we want to allow it, we must expand the years to 99-06. 07+ is when the cylinder deactivation came into play....

Yep. That why I don't understand why mustangs can't have them. It's only going to make the car more reliable. Fast guys will still be fast regardless. Following Mustang rear suspension when Fox/SN95 cars were big in AI, it's going to make the car quicker as well. I would expect a torque arm Mustang...

Rain tires are a waist. We rarely need them and it doesn't rain enough to justify buying them. Hahaha... hahahahaha. Come to the MW or GL for a season and you may be singing a different tune. They don't call it Mud Ohio for no reason... edit: Didn't realize the reply was to a TX racer, I totally un...
