Not much luck so far finding 16 x 9's. Rather than waste time, energy and expense, will just hold off on second set and work towards the 5 lug conversion and move to 17's. I really want to get the car sorted out so I can go into the 2016 and focus on driving rather than major work on the car. Thanks...

Dude if you can only run 1 race per year, make sure it's Hallett. This coming from a guy who started DFL 2 of his 4 races, and Francis hosed himself out of the final. If you have to choose from 2 local races and 1 Hallett, choose Hallett. You'll see the light and return to the Homeland with the pro...

16 rims

I have a set of 16 x 9 4 lug rims on my foxbody CMC car (and 2 more rims in the garage). I have taken the time to read many posts on this forum and realize I am screwed when it comes to Toyos and will one day need to convert to 17's. I'll go to 17's and Toyo's once I get my comp. license. I am looki...

Swing by in October, usually a good showing at that event. I am the only one still driving a fox body so would be willing to help with any questions may still have. Terry Thanks Terry - am taking the car down to Roebling end of September to shake out all the work recently done. If all goes well wil...

Welcome, welcome. Build it to CMC spec and just run PT, or anything else you can, while you get others pulled into the vortex. Yes, it's selfish - but come join the Texas/Rockies/MW/Etc. crew at Hallett in June 2016 for what is at least the "un-official" CMC Nationals. Good luck and have ...

Don't know if you found the CMC group at Hyperfest but you should come hang out with us. We're usually the loudest group after dark and provide endless banter as we bust each others balls. However, the MA group will do everything they can to get every car out for every race.......again, while busti...

Hello CMC'ers I popped onto this site last fall with the idea to build a CMC car than found one out West and thought it would be faster, easier & cheaper to buy than build (jury is still out on that decision). Now that I am a year into the process thought I'd make a quick intro., particularly si...

Thanks Glenn - Section 7.3 Guess I need to stop working on the car and go back and develop some fundamental reading and understanding skills. The irony is I have a hard copy of the rules printed out and notes in the margins all over the place except for 7.3 & 7.4. In the example within 7.3, the ...

Steering column swap

I've read the 2015 rules and searched this forum but am not clear regarding my steering column swap. I have an 1988 Mustang GT (tilt column) and it's going bad. Understand the replacement needs to be OEM but wanted to use one from a 1990 Mustang GT since it is not a tilt column. What is throwing me ...

Thanks Scott!

No dash bar so bolting to firewall and running through dash via vent area makes sense.

Re: Attachment point - right side window net Foxbody

To be clear, this is not a right side window net, but a right side containment net. Correct? Thanks for the response and the link. Yes, I meant side containment net. I am good with the connection points to the cage as it came with a good set of instructions (it is a Schroth net). What I do not have...
