Track width/thickness of toe plates?

I've bought new wheels and am using a collection of spacers I already have to effect track width. When using the "standard" longacre tow plates you are technically measuring track width AND the thickness of the tow plates themselves......do you subtrack the thickness of the (2) tow plates....

Re: 2017 CMC Nats Suggestion -Mem Day at COTA

Like Bob, when I first saw this event I too thought it would be fun......but it's 1,500 miles each way for me. The decision was pretty much already made for me then. I understand the track rental is probably quite high but that's the highest I've ever seen for a NASA event....even the last couple ye...

Re: 2016 East coast nationals Watkins Glen

Here it is. Interesting track, boring race from a spectators perspective. Bob won from the pole.....I chased him the entire time. Traffic interfered at times but never really effected the results. Had a blast hanging with the GL guys and learned a few things about me/my car. Hope to do it again guys...

Re: 2016 East coast nationals Watkins Glen

Awesome write-up and Big congrats to Bob on the Championship win!!! I have seen some AI videos and the track looks insanely fast!! Now lets see some CMC videos. :D Yeah, a 3.4 mile track running 2:13 vs our local track, High Plains Raceway, which is 2.55 miles and if you run a 2:06 you're hauling t...

Re: 2016 East coast nationals Watkins Glen

Congratulations to Bob Denton, winner of the 2016 CMC NATIONAL Championship (I say National because he beat everybody that raced the Western states Championship too!). As for SI, using lap times alone, Bob and I would have finished 2nd and 3rd in that class during the final race. Not surprising to m...

Re: 2016 East coast nationals Watkins Glen

THAT SUCKS!!!! Sorry to hear about your grandmother. Don't know if NASA is reading this but I once had to cancel 11 tickets to a spectator event because of a death in the family the day before the event. A couple days later I contacted someone who transferred me "up the ladder". A supervis...

Would those work for you?

Which rotors are you looking at? The right size appears to be either $225 or 285 each.

I haven't looked in a long time.......but I believe the Teksid block and PI heads are the best combination but isn't 11/1 compression the max allowed? Wouldn't 93 octane be fine with 11/1 compression? (and does anyone know where a Teksid block is LOL) Mmm, my friend had to use some thick ass head g...

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I guess it makes sense to drive what you know or like. I've owned and raced mostly front wheel drive cars in my life, so I guess I don't really have a preference. The GM's seem too expensive (98-02) and the Fords need a lot of work... If money wasn't an option, I'd...
