94 Camaro CMC car For Sale

94 Camaro CMC car For Sale The time has come. I don't have the time these days to pursue this wonderful hobby any longer. The wife and I also have plans to build a home on some land we have had for many years. The money I have tied up in this car will help us realize those plans sooner. My back has ...

Re: 2015 RCR #2

I think peak HP/TQ numbers should only come from between 3500-5500 RPM's. Seems like a good starting point. If my peak TQ is @ 2500 RPM's (and it is in that area) and I'm pulling out of a corner in a gear that has the RPM's down that low, I'm gonna get my ass handed to me. I'm considering increasing...

Re: 2015 RCR #4

Yep - $200 plus.

The price will often indicate the durability of the rotor. @ $40 per ring, my bet is those are for something like a dirt car. Speeds are minimal, weight is low and grip is low.

Re: Panhard Bar Question

I fought this rule way back when many years ago. The original rule for the GM was odd. I was "fixed" to only allow the driver side to be adjustable. Reason is, the highest the car needs to be puts the PHB almost level. If you keep going down, the body side (pass) will end up lower than the...

I just ran my CMC car with an incorrect cam and it was way over on TQ and way down on HP. I got my ass handed to me. TQ aint everything.

Fords just need more parts to do what GM's do with mostly OEM parts. The rules limit the changes to keep the platforms equal. At any time it appears either has an advantage, adjustments are made.
Stock out of the box, GM all they way.
Built to the limit of the rules, get what you know best.

I will be stepping down as Texas Region Series Director

I made a post on the Texas AI/CMC site and I guess I should have done the same here. I will be stepping down as Series Director once the 2016 rules are posted. No drama, not issues. I have been spending a lot more time w/ my kids and am very involved in their sports (coaching and such). Both my girl...

Solid Motor Mounts?? Would you do them again?

Since jumping my car Duke's of Hazard style back in April, I find myself replacing a lot of parts. One of which is the motor mounts. a number of years back I switched over to solids for the motor. I have not seen any issues as a result. The "jump" bent both of them and I need to replace th...

I guess I'll explain my reason for posting this...... Earlier in the year I lost a motor and the cam was killed as a result. I had my engine builder source a replacement for me. He was unaware of the many different OEM cams out there for an LT1. Once on the dyno it was obvious something was wrong. W...
