WANTED TO BUY: Mustang or Camaro for track day fun

OK, what is lurking out there in your dusty garages? I'd like to buy a 1999 up Camaro (ex SCCA T2 would be perfect) or Mustang race car. Or ? What do you have? No project cars wanted; just complete and clean well prepared ex racers. Given the number of cars that raced in NASA's spec muscle pony car ...

WTB enclosed car hauler

OK, what's out there? I have a 69 Camaro Trans Am racer to haul around to vintage (like me) events. Only interested in non-project, great condition enclosed car trailers. Email me at: pryor1948@gmail.com with your phone number and we'll talk. Thanks, Richard

CMC car for sale

Just happened to read this and run into Bill Graham the same day. He bought Ken Gronberg's 1989 CMC Firebird two years ago and has only used it several times at open tracks at Laguna. Extra wheels and tires, spares, great trailer, car in perfect condition. Bill's decided to grow grapes instead of ra...

V6 CAMAROS

Actually I think that 10 years or so (or sooner...like anytime) from now the 5th gen Camaros in CMC will be V6's...the car is too heavy, but makes around 300 hp..should be workable. On the 4th gen V6's..it's not a bad idea but the power is down a bit too much and expensive to bring it up..the weight...

the unfair advantage is not mechanical

"Apparently it made up for that deficiency somewhere else." Yes...if you've seen Dave drive you know that the main component for the fast times was strapped into the driver's seat...if the data showed sector times for the corners I'm willing to bet Dave had 3-4 mph more speed carried all t...

Dear TxCMC22, Good luck with CMC...you're going to have fun as you sound like you're in it for all the right reasons. You bring up several points I should clarify. My post was only directed at CMC in California as I have no knowledge of CMC groups outside of the area except what I read and hear and ...

LAH LAH LAH LAH LAH

Hi, Adam, that's the sound people make when they put their hands over their ears when they don't want to hear something that doesn't mesh with their sense of reality. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and mine is that you're way too close to the trees to see the forest when it comes to CMC and t...

As Tony Goes, So Goes CMC

Even though I've been spending my racing hours the past year in the garage rebuilding my old '60's ride, a 1963 Huffaker Healey, I've been following the CMC board and the various issues both spoken and unspoken. It appears that Tony's resignation is the indicator that he and NASA have irreconcilable...

Yellow Rose

I think it would be fine to let Texas secede from the United States. If they want to go, fine. Just as long as they pay their share of the National Debt before they go, let 'em. It's not that I dislike Texans in any way. Every one I've ever met has been great. I just think it would be kinda fun watc...

by the seat of your pants

Really there is only one safe answer...one seat to fit both with mods is going to be a hassle...and not as safe as the correct answer...one seat for each driver...spend the necessary 30 minutes to change out a seat to fit each...seat fit and safety is one of the most important aspects of correct coc...

If you're an old fart and have a few extra minutes read this

I'm one of the old guys that first started racing via slot cars when I was around 10...fun article below for those that did too...rp ===================================== Computers Suck Out the Fun By John C. Dvorak, PC Magazine. While looking at a video of the changes in the F-1 racing car, it occu...
