Re: 2017 CMC Nats Suggestion -Mem Day at COTA

Sorry Bryan....There were a couple of us up here in the Midwest considering the event but the distance and entry fee kind of sealed the deal for us. One or the other but both factors did it for me.

Re: DQ for rules infraction

If you read section 3.5 of the rules. 3.5 Non-compliance/Cheating Cheating and non-compliance will not be welcome and will receive harsh penalties. Non-compliance, defined as unintentional violation of CMC or NASA technical specifications will result in a disqualification. Cheating, defined as inten...

About half the guys stay at the track and the other half in a hotel. Most of the time it comes down to the forecast days before the event. Getting a hotel room at the last minute usually is not a issue. I am not sure if they have hookups in the "camping area" but there is nothing in the pa...

I would set them at 19.25 inches. The tolerance is .125 inches and I would hate to get DQ on something like this. Measuring in the tech shed can be sketchy at times so I would want to be in the center of the range. Especially trying to measure the center of a rod end.

Here is a idea. The new Corvette Museum track in Bowling Green Kentucky is 13 hours from Houston Tx, 11 from DFW TX, 13.5 from Goodland Kansas, 9 hours from Raleigh NC, 7 hours from Chicago and 7 hours from Cleveland Oh. Seems to me this would make a great track for all the CMCers to show up and rac...

Spencer is right 275 all around. Take note of the RR mounting proceedure to get the most out of your Toyo RR tires.

Are we getting confused over part numbers and casting numbers? The 12558060 is a part number for the Head assembly. Studs valves springs etc. The casting numbers 906 and 062 you refer to are the last three digits of the casting part numbers and is just a raw casting number. A 906 casting number may ...

Natebrod My CMC car started life as a V6 car and I installed a LS 5.3. So I did the exact swap you are speaking of. Specifically the main parts you will need are: -The K member is the same as the V8 except you will need the LS mounts. But there are no holes drilled for all the variations like on the...

Regarding the 3/4 race rule. I don't think this will make much of a difference regarding body contact. What makes a difference in body contact is a STRONG race director. In the MW GL we have a very strong race director. It was no accident that his nickname is the "Hammer". He is very black...

Dave As your series director I will be happy to explain. As directors we have a online form to fill out and it can be filled out for every event at the beginning of the season or can be filled out prior to each race. I choose the latter and do it about one to two weeks before the event. On the form ...
